Description	The staff at the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment (CDPHE) are committed to making Colorado the healthiest state in the Nation and the state with the cleanest air and water. Over the past several years under the leadership of Governor Bill Ritter, the people who make up CDPHE have mobilized to respond both to events that threatened public health and to significant new opportunities to improve drinking water and water quality. In many instances, these activities have required people across the department to work together, and have often demanded the support of local public health agencies as well as the private sector. They illustrate how all of us at CDPHE are working to achieve our goal of making Colorado the state with the cleanest environment and the healthiest people.
